美元升上93關口黃金持穩，靜待鮑威爾在全球央行年會講話
周四(8月26日)美元指數再度升上93關口，美元兌G-10貨幣在市場等候美聯儲主席鮑威爾周五講話之際全線走高，加元因油價下跌而跌幅居前。黃金期貨價格小幅收高。投資者密切關注美聯儲傑克遜霍爾政策研討會，希望從中尋找有關美聯儲縮減購債計劃的線索。油價收跌逾1%，結束了連續三天的漲勢，因新冠感染病例增加引發了對需求的擔憂，同時墨西哥一鑽井平台因發生火災中斷供應後恢複了部分生産。
達拉斯聯儲主席卡普蘭：維持自己對美國經濟前景的預期不變
美聯儲主席卡普蘭表示：“我仍然傾向于FOMC在9月份貨幣政策會議上宣布開始減碼QE的決定。主張美聯儲不要同時實施減碼QE和加息，傾向于美聯儲迅速啓動減碼QE進程，並循序漸進地推進。傾向于美聯儲減碼QE的行動持續八個月左右。我所聯系到的企業表示，他們正在抵禦新冠肺炎德爾塔變異毒株的影響。隨著新冠疫苗接種率的提高，看見更多的經濟韌性。美聯儲債券購買行動支持需求，但需求端本來就不是一個問題。債券購買的意外影響/副作用讓我感到憂心忡忡。”
聖路易斯聯儲主席布拉德：通貨膨脹比預期的要高
聖路易斯練出主席布拉德表示，2022年通脹至少達到2.5%。美聯儲應該“開始”縮減購債規模，到2022年第一季度結束。經濟已經學會適應疫情。在2022年第一季度末完成縮債將給美聯儲帶來選擇。經濟正在蓬勃發展，不需要更多的刺激。不想要太高的通貨膨脹，這會傷害美國窮人。金融穩定是縮減購債規模的好理由。房價上漲是一個問題，不要自滿。不認為美國房地産市場今天陷入困境。支持美聯儲縮減購債規模後縮減資産負債表。
歐洲央行會議紀要：新前瞻指引不一定意味著更低利率實施更久
歐洲央行公布的會議紀要稱，如能成功使通脹預期達到目標水平，重新設計的前瞻指引並不一定意味著“更低利率實施更久”。首席經濟學家Lane提議的新前瞻指引構成“被廣泛認為是非常平衡的”。新策略和利率指引被視為降低了可能産生副作用的風險，因為它應該有助于縮短實施極低利率的時間，並在其它所有條件相同的情況下降低所需資産購買量。與會者普遍同意將對資産購買計劃(APP)前瞻性指引的討論推遲到未來會議進行。
