1月20日，現貨黃金一路大漲，創新近段時間以來的新高點，因為美元指數回落，美債收益率走低而支撐了金價，同時市場預期拜登政府將增加經濟刺激措施，以應對疫情帶來的經濟影響。
分析師表示，因為拜登首先要採取的行動將是逆轉其前任的一些政策；金市今天表現非常好，收在當前水準或者接近1860美元的水準將為金價升向1900美元打開大門；對金市而言，與市場最相關的指標將是1.9萬億美元刺激議案在國會山，特別是在參議院的接受程度，以及該議案是會順利通過還是會遭遇驚濤駭浪。
拜登週三宣誓就職，投資者關注他提出的1.9萬億美元刺激計畫，以及新冠疫苗接種推進速度。美國當選總統拜登提名的美國財政部長耶倫週二敦促議員們在新冠救助支出上“採取大規模行動”，稱救助計畫的優先程度要高於加稅。
雖然拜登政府可能沒有明確尋求美元貶值，但美元有可能會進一步下跌。對十國集團外匯來說，今年開局艱難，因為偏好的交易表現並不好，但是，耶倫支持進行大力政策投放，給市場烙下了確准無疑的鴿派印記，鑒於貨幣和財政政策將同聲一辭，料將鼓舞美元空頭。
分析師表示，黃金的大部分漲幅預計將出現在上半年。維持對黃金的正面觀點，預計價格將重新測試2000美元/盎司的門檻，並達到新高。鑒於美元可能走軟，實際收益率仍為負，寬鬆的貨幣政策，進一步的財政刺激，以及不斷上升的通脹預期，投資者將繼續配置黃金。
