全球市場目前處於新舊交替階段，重要資料和事件仍然比較少，市場流動性比較西熟，但投資者必須強化風控意識，處於每週公佈的美國重要資料外，中國的製造業資料也值得關注，同時英歐貿易協定和美國財政刺激也是一個重要事件。
12月23日出爐的日本央行12月份會議紀要顯示，日本央行在12月份延長了應對新冠疫情危機的措施。並公佈了一項計畫，研究實現2%通脹目標的更有效方法。董事會還對長期路徑進行了辯論。
由於煉油廠在年底前減少庫存，截至12月18日當周，美國原油、汽油和精煉油庫存均出現下降，美國汽油庫存上周意外減少了112.5萬桶(預期為增加80萬桶)，道路運輸燃料需求在最近一周略有改善。
中國11月官方製造業PMI創逾三年高位，且各項分類指數普遍改善，表明製造業市場活力進一步增強，恢復性增長明顯加快，全產業鏈恢復特徵趨於明顯。
中國供給側優勢明顯，疫情防護、宅經濟相關物資出口大增，出口回升帶動相關產業鏈；房地產銷售持續回暖，新開工面積、施工面積、竣工面積的改善帶動地產後週期產業鏈走強；汽車消費刺激政策帶動以新能源車為代表的汽車產業迅猛回升。此外，2019-2021年我國存量設備進入大規模更新階段，設備投資需求增長助力裝備製造業生產投資上行。
根據美國勞工部公佈的資料，在截至12月19日當周，各州常規失業福利計畫之下的首次申請失業救濟人數減少了8.9萬人，降至80.3萬人，經濟學家的預測中值為88萬人。在未經修正的基礎上，首次申請失業救濟人數減少約7.3萬人。由於更多企業面臨限制，消費者在新冠肺炎病例激增的情況下保持謹慎，失業人數仍有所上升。
能源市場的基本面依然讓人們有理由需審慎以對。石油輸出國組織(OPEC)及國際能源署(IEA)下修明年石油需求預估，IEA並警告稱全球市場依然脆弱。病毒變異、疫苗分配緩慢、許多國家新增病例繼續大幅上升，意味著封鎖與旅行限制週期將持續下去，全球燃料需求至少在未來幾個月難以重現顯著抬頭跡象。
