美國和歐洲股市攀升，因德國總理默克爾擬再推刺激計畫，規模或高達1000億歐元，從而降低黃金吸引力。分析師表示，對經濟重啟的樂觀情緒持續存在，股市持續上漲體現了這一點；在這種前提下，很容易理解黃金可能略顯脆弱。
分析師表示，做多黃金的交易非常擁擠，眼下再入場做多或許不是個好選擇，我們還是認為黃金多頭過多，金價過高，不適合再入場做多。荷蘭銀行預計未來三個月金價將出現明顯下跌，預計二季度末金價在1725美元/盎司左右水準。
不過，也有分析師指出，金價的整體走勢是積極的，在3月觸及每盎司1450.98美元的近四個月低點後，金價已上漲逾18%，主要受益於疫情引發的經濟不確定性以及全球央行的一系列刺激措施。
