失業人數暴增660萬，現貨黃金短線沖高

4月9日，美國公佈了上周初請失業金人數，資料暴增660萬，為了拿到政府的補貼，很多美國民眾主動“被解雇”，在資料公佈後，現貨黃金短線沖高，而美元指數則出現明顯回落。
具體資料顯示，美國截至4月4日當周初請失業金人數實際公佈660.60萬人，預期550萬人，前值664.8萬人。美國至4月4日當周初請失業金人數結束三連升，但仍維持在高位。
過去三周，美國申請失業救濟金的人數已超過1500萬。而截至4月4日當周初請失業金人數約為660萬人，較前一周上修後的687萬人略有下降，但仍連續兩周錄得超過600萬人，因美國依然採取嚴格的防控措施導致經濟陷入停滯。
美國就業市場長達十年的穩健態勢止步於今年2月。3月以來，形勢更加嚴峻，受突如其來的疫情影響，企業停工停產，員工居家隔離，經濟活動“停擺”，上千萬美國人開始申請失業救濟，失業率大幅攀升。
值得注意的是，在這次疫情期間的失業情況中，有一個特殊的現象，很多美國人其實是主動選擇被解雇的。因為這樣一來，能夠申領的失業救濟，要高於他們這段期間的工資。
分析人士認為，由於疫情還在蔓延且資料存在滯後性，美國就業市場遠未觸底，全面損失預計在未來數月顯現。
在美國資料公佈的同時，加拿大也公佈了3月份的就業資料，結果加拿大的資料同樣十分慘澹，資料公佈之後，由於美國和加拿大的就業資料都很疲弱，因此美元兌加元短線維持在區間震盪。
資料具體顯示，加拿大3月就業人數變動實際公佈-101.07萬人，預期-50萬人，前值3.03萬人；加拿大3月失業率實際公佈7.80%，預期7.5%，前值5.6%。加拿大3月就業人數減少101.07萬人，超過2009年初的減少12.9萬人，創紀錄最大降幅。
疫情暴發後，加拿大各省紛紛宣佈了緊急狀態，禁止非必需行業繼續經營，導致大量人口失業或收入銳減。為解決人們能維持基本生活，加拿大政府向所有因疫情而失業或收入減少、且符合一定條件的人們提供每月2000加元，不超過16個星期的補助。這個被稱為疫情應急救助福利。
