3月6日，美國勞工部公佈2月非農資料，資料顯示，醫療保健、政府部門，科技服務業等就業人數明顯增加，同時美國1月季調後的就業人口變動修正為27.3萬，但美聯儲仍打算在3月會議上降息50個基點。
非農公佈後，市場仍舊100%預計美聯儲將在3月會議上降息50個基點；非農公佈後，市場100%預計美聯儲將在3月18日的會議上降息50個基點；並將在4月會議上再降息25基點；整體來看市場認為美聯儲年內總共還將降息3次共75基點。儘管2月非農資料十分強勁，但並未動搖市場對美聯儲降息的預期。
2月非農大幅好於預期，但美聯儲料更關注衛生事件； 美國勞工部公佈的美國2月非農新增就業人口27.3萬，大幅好於預期的17.5萬；失業率下降至3.5%，失業率已經連續23個月保持在低於4%的水準，這是自20世紀60年代以來持續時間最長的一次；薪資增速3%；就業人口反映出勞動力市場的強勁。在衛生事件的影響下，儘管非農資料向好，但對美聯儲的影響力料有所下降。聖路易斯聯儲主席布拉德表示，目前沒有看到企業裁員，希望大家不要過度關注美聯儲3月會議。
因進口下跌，美國1月貿易赤字收窄。因衛生風險影響商品和服務業，預計進口規模將繼續收窄。儘管貿易赤字收窄對計算GDP可能有益，但進口減少帶來的庫存堆積下滑可能抵消這部分提升。進口減少還有可能導致短缺，進而影響消費者和企業支出。
