美國數據表現不佳，金價升高

12月19日，美國公佈了一系列的經濟數據，當中美國的三季度經常賬赤字超出預期，製造業數指數不及預期，同時初請失業金數據也表現較差，在一系列數據的較差表現下，現貨黃金短線上漲。
具體數據顯示，美國第三季度經常帳實際公佈赤字1241億美元，預期赤字1220美元，前值赤字1282美元。
由於進口急劇下滑，且基本收入盈餘增加，美國第三季度經常賬赤字降至逾一年低位，為2018年第二個季度以來的最低水準。
美國上周初請失業金申領人數自前一周的逾兩年高位下滑，減少1.8萬人至23.4萬人，降幅雖未抵消前一周4.9萬人的增幅，但考慮到感恩節假期之後的就業情況波動往往較大，認為就業市場持續走強的趨勢沒有改變。
數據還顯示，美國12月費城聯儲製造業指數實際公佈0.3，預期8，前值10.4。美國12月費城聯儲製造業指數刷新今年1月以來新低。其中分項，美國12月費城聯儲製造業就業指數17.8，前值21.5。
分析指出，美國製造業就業崗位的流失已經開始。問題在於，領先的就業指標仍在下降，這表明製造業放緩趨勢可能還會至少持續數月。
美聯儲官員週三表示，在今年三次降息後，目前美國經濟狀況良好，凸顯出美聯儲將在短期內維持借貸成本在當前水準的共識。
紐約聯儲主席威廉姆斯週三也對2020年前景表達了樂觀的看法。威廉姆斯在接受採訪時表示，“我對今年的經濟形勢及其發展狀況，以及明年的經濟前景感到樂觀。”威廉姆斯預計美國經濟明年將增長2%左右，失業率將保持在目前3.5%的水準附近，通脹率將接近美聯儲2%的目標。
另外，目前市場關注的是美國零售方面的情況。美國零售商預計將在今年的“超級星期六”創下銷售紀錄，因為感恩節和耶誕節之間的日子比往常更少，迫使購物者抓緊時間完成他們的購物。
