黃金受到美元牽制，歐洲經濟面臨新一輪考驗

5月29日，黃金多頭反擊奪回上一個交易日的跌幅，但美元指數也處於上漲趨勢，抑制了金價的上漲。但市場擔心中美貿易爭端進一步升級，加上最近歐元承壓，對美元構成支撐。而歐元區經濟以及歐盟政局不確定，讓歐元面臨更多風險。
圍繞中美貿易衝突進一步升級的擔憂促使投資者轉向避險資產，投資者擔憂北京可能利用其主宰稀土供應的有利地位，作為在兩國貿易戰中討價還價的重要籌碼。
中國發改委有關負責人就稀土問題表示，如果有誰想利用我們出口的稀土所製造的產品反用於打壓中國發展，中國人民都會不高興的。人民日報週三發表署名文章，奉勸美方不要低估中方維護自身發展權益的能力，“勿謂言之不預！”
據報導，近日美國財政部公佈半年度匯率政策報告，認為包括中國在內的美國主要貿易夥伴均未操縱貨幣匯率，但把中國和其他八個國家列為“被觀察國”。
對此，在週四的中國外交部例行記者會上，發言人陸慷表示，報告中的結論符合國際社會共識，同時建議美方不要對他國匯率進行單邊評估。
歐元兌美元下跌0.05%至1.1155，距離上周四觸及的將近兩年低點1.1107仍然不遠。分析師警告，因歐洲政治前景方面的不確定性，使得歐元面臨更多風險。歐元走低亦支撐美元。
歐盟委員會在週三要求義大利解釋導致其公共財政狀況惡化的因素，因為歐盟執行機構正在準備的報告，可能奠定對義大利採取紀律行動的基石。
更糟糕的是，義大利結構性赤字自2015年以來每年都在增加。除非政策發生改變，否則今年將達到GDP的2.4%，2020年將大幅升至3.6%。而根據歐盟法律，義大利結構性赤字每年應縮減GDP的0.6%，直至達到平衡。
如果羅馬當局一再無視歐盟要求其財政可持續發展的呼聲，該國可能面臨約35億歐元的罰款，約占該國GDP的0.2%。當然這需要時間，目前在政治上不具可操作性。
在上周的歐洲議會選舉中，義大利執政聯盟中的疑歐派民族主義政黨獲勝後，義大利日益面臨被歐盟孤立的風險。
