通脹升溫引發經濟憂慮，美元走強金價大跌

美國6月份零售額環比增長0.6%
大田環球分析師稱，美國6月零售銷售意外增長，因商品需求依然強勁，提振了第二季經濟增長加速的預期。隨著經濟重新開放，服務支出已開始回升，可能將部分支出從商品支出拉向零售銷售報告中未涵蓋的部分服務支出。
歐洲央行據稱就政策指引的措辭調整産生內部分歧
據知情官員透露，歐洲央行決策者對在下周管委會會議之前分發的文件草案中有關貨幣刺激政策措辭的調整意見産生分歧。歐洲央行在本月完成策略評估後，將在7月22日對包括利率在內關鍵工具的指引進行調整。此次評估提高了央行的通脹目標，並納入一項在利率接近其下限時特別有力或持久提供支持的承諾。雖然管委會一致通過了政策評估中的措辭，也同意必須避免任何過早的政策收緊，但其偏鷹派和偏鴿派的成員們在如何于當前政策中體現新策略的意見上存在一定距離。
白宮：對通脹問題“絕非袖手旁觀”
白宮經濟顧問委員會委員Jared Bernstein表示 ，白宮正在解決與港口、住房和微芯片相關的供給側問題，供應緊張推高了價格。政府官員會見住宅建築行業代表，試圖解決導致房價創紀錄上漲的住房供應短缺問題。
