北京時間周二(10月6日)18:55左右，英鎊兌美元急挫逾40點至1.2917，歐元兌英鎊剛剛刺穿0.9100關口，據外媒報導，歐盟將忽略10月15日英國脫歐的最後期限，歐盟準備好允許脫歐貿易談判延長至11月，大大提升了脫歐協商的不確定性，令本周初略有好轉的脫歐前景再度撲空，時段內稍早英鎊兌美元一度上破1.30關口至近一個月新高1.3007。
美央行財政協議或限制美元上行空間
歐洲央行行長拉加德表示，歐洲央行對英國脫歐做了最好的準備，但也做了最壞的打算。
不過美國可能達成財政刺激協議的樂觀情緒可能限制美元上行空間。美國衆議院議長佩洛西和財政部長努欽定于周二再次討論1.5萬億美元的額外救助計劃。此外美國總統特朗普重返白宮，緩解了政治不確定性，增加了樂觀的市場情緒，限制英鎊的下行空間。
據知名外媒報道，英國政府數據顯示，截至周一上午，英國新增確診冠狀病毒感染者12594人。這一數據是在周日有關增加22961人之後的。更多細節的報告顯示，有19人死亡的28天內檢測呈陽性。
延遲脫歐將支撐英鎊
當前市場的注意力，主要集中在美國刺激計劃談判進展、美聯儲主席鮑威爾今晚的演講，以及英國脫歐談判的後續的進展。有報導稱，蘇格蘭政府計劃從周五開始實行為期兩周的禁止外出令，但市場對此反應平淡。
據大田分析師預計，英鎊兌美元的上限將是1.30，歐盟委員會主席馮德萊恩和英國首相約翰遜的幹預使談判繼續進行，但雙方談判人員的言辭都談不上樂觀，談判將繼續下去的事實足以支持英鎊，不過鑒于缺乏實質性進展，仍將1.2950-1.3000區間視為目前的上限，更傾向于在反彈時逢高賣出英鎊兌美元，1.2850區域附近的支撐位料限制下行空間，上行料遇阻于1.3000。
