科技巨頭洩氣，全球經濟疲憊

2月18日，金價創下近段時間的新高位，原因在於科技巨頭蘋果公司對營收發出預警，加上多個國家面臨全球公共衛生風險，正在醞釀面對經濟下行的政策，而美元則繼續保持強勢地位。
此前蘋果公司警告稱，全球公共衛生事件放緩了生產進程，並削弱了需求前景，公司恐難以實現一季度的營收預測。
蘋果公司此前預計，第一季度營收630-670億美元，這個數字高於分析師預估的624億美元。蘋果公司是全球市值數一數二的科技巨鱷，該公司不看好自身的經營前景，全球市場難免會陷入恐慌，投資者並找尋黃金避險。
歐元區各國財長週一討論了如何出臺更有利於增長的一攬子財政政策，這可能會推動德國和荷蘭增加支出，因為面臨全球公共衛生風險，人們對經濟低迷的擔憂與日俱增。
葡萄牙財長暨歐元集團主席森特諾(Mario Centeno)在新聞發佈會上表示：“雖然英國脫歐和貿易緊張局勢等因素給(增長)帶來的風險已有所消退，但最近爆發的公共衛生風險是一個令人擔憂的因素，我們需要密切關注這一事件。”
根據歐盟執委會上周公佈的預測，全球公共衛生事件是歐元區經濟面臨的主要下行風險之一。歐盟最大經濟體德國去年增長疲軟，加上對公共衛生事件引發新一輪經濟低迷的擔憂，歐元區增加支出的預期正在上升。
即使全球公共衛生事件得以平息，但供應鏈中斷也會影響貿易、旅遊業和企業信心，並對歐元區、乃至全球經濟產生負面影響。如果歐元區不能及時增加支出，民間恢復對經濟前景的信心也無從談起，只能追捧黃金等避險資產。
多年來日本央行設定一個野心勃勃的物價目標，企圖消滅通縮，但日本經濟復蘇前景日益黯淡，政策工具選項愈來愈少，加上全球公共衛生事件，讓日本央行不得不面對現實，其最多只能維持經濟走勢不至於進一步滑墜。
