美元指數創新高，黃金同步上漲

1月20日，美元指數走勢維持堅挺，在宏觀數據下，美國經濟表現強勁，美聯儲在短期內實行降息的可能性極低。同時美國製造業連續增長，但黃金同樣在上漲，有原因表明，美國總統打算對歐盟挑起新的貿易紛爭。
上周五出爐的數據確認，美國經濟形勢良好。美國12月房屋開工年率升至13年高位，12月製造業產出連續第二個月增長。
國際貨幣基金組織(IMF)總裁格奧爾基耶娃週五表示，中美第一階段貿易協議的簽署將使抑制全球經濟增長的不確定性減少。
格奧爾基耶娃在彼得森國際經濟研究所的一個活動上未提供經過調整的全球經濟預估，稱將於週一在瑞士達沃斯舉行的世界經濟論壇上發佈。
美國國會預算辦公室的一項研究得出結論，特朗普已經挑起和即將挑起的貿易衝突將在2020年使美國家庭的平均收入減少580美元。這相當於約600億美元的經濟活動損失。
但美國總統特朗普與中國的貿易紛爭已暫時告一段落後，眼下他對歐洲發怒恐怕只是時間問題。週二他將獲得一個表達觀點的平臺——在達沃斯世界經濟論壇發表演說。
在與中國簽署第一階段經貿協議的同時，特朗普不忘猛烈批評歐元區的負利率，要歐元區“還錢”。特朗普還將美國龐大的經常帳赤字歸咎於美元匯率“太高”。
可以預見，美歐領導人將在達沃斯會場內外上演新的唇槍舌劍。中美貿易紛爭降溫，並不意味著全球貿易形勢會朝著好轉的方向永不回頭，新的不確定性可能引發避險買盤湧入金市。
特朗普執政後不斷高喊“美國優先”口號，美歐之間的貿易關係趨於緊張。為報復歐盟給予空客公司的巨額補貼，美國已經準備對75億美元的歐盟商品徵收懲罰性關稅。
在過去兩年時間中，儘管美歐兩地官員已就貿易問題展開的多輪磋商，但歐盟已經明確表示，不會就農業問題進展談判，而這卻是美國希望取得突破的方向。
所以哪怕是在選舉年中，美歐之間匯率和貿易紛爭升級看來並非不可能。如果歐盟無法大幅減少對美國的貿易順差，美國極大可能將對歐盟出口汽車徵收關稅，避險黃金持有者無須懼怕強勢美元。
