值得注意的是，在10月與現在兩次發佈的民調之間，國會情報委員會展開了長達幾周、對特朗普政府前任以及現任官員的聽證調查。國會司法委員會於上周通過了兩項針對特朗普的彈劾條款。就兩次民調的結果來說，彈劾公開聽證幾乎對選民的觀點沒有產生什麼影響。相反，對特朗普的認可程度還從10月的45%上升到48%。
