非農大好但隱憂仍在，美元大跳水

5月3日，美國非農報告大好，美元指數快速上漲，但隨後回落。雖然美國整體就業情況強勁，但平均時薪沒有太多通貨膨脹，美聯儲仍處於困境當中。同時市場對英國央行加息有著較高的預期。
根據美國勞工部週五公佈的數據，4月份非農就業人數增加26.3萬人，失業率意外下降到3.6%，平均時薪增長仍維持在3.2%，低於預測。美國供應管理協會數據顯示，繼製造業指數下滑之後，美國4月ISM服務業指數降至55.5，不及預期的57，創2017年8月以來新低，這令美元承壓。
包括美國總統特朗普在內的一些人士已經呼籲美聯儲降息以支持擴張，與此同時，美聯儲決策者本周重申了他們對利率調整的耐心立場，美聯儲主席鮑威爾指出 “就業機會的創造非常強勁”，但通脹走軟。
關於4月非農就業報告，我們得到了一個很好的數字，失業率下降一定程度上由於就業參與率降低。雖然工資增長維持上升趨勢，但相對於市場普遍預期，本月再次令人失望。本周市場對製造業數據、通脹數據、當然還有美聯儲反應更為明顯。
週五芝加哥聯儲主席埃文斯表示，美國經濟增長的基本面仍然良好。如果經濟表現如我所料，那麼在2019年，我們應該看到經濟增長接近趨勢並繼續保持健康的勞動力市場。然而，核心通脹在過去三個月已回落至相對較低的水準，提升了我對通脹前景的擔憂。
英國央行行長卡尼週四在倫敦的新聞發佈會上說，如果情況符合預測，則在此期間需要加息。英國央行暗示，只要英國實現有序脫歐，未來三年的加息前景略微高於市場當前預估。
英國央行官員們表示，如果央行像投資者目前所預期的那樣，在接下來的三年期間僅僅再加息25個基點一次，那麼2021年通脹率將高於2%的目標水準，並且持續上漲。在一系列樂觀的預測中，英國央行決策層上調了對經濟增長的預期，並且表示失業率將進一步下降，經濟產生的超額需求將超出此前預期。
由於經濟復蘇以及所謂的無協議脫歐風險降低，英鎊兌歐元和美元將在今年上漲。英國經濟數據普遍好於預期，無視全球疲軟和脫歐不確定性上升。在勞動力市場緊張和實際工資穩定增長的推動下，消費者的韌性尤其令人印象深刻。但是，與英國脫歐相關的風險溢價顯然還是在起作用。英鎊受益於歐元區經濟前景下行和市場對英銀加息維持相對較高預期。
