美聯儲要坐不住了，黃金多頭還有機會

4月26日，雖然美國公佈的第一季度GDP大幅好於預期，美元指數再次刷新高位，但分析師認為美國經濟增長放緩的趨勢正在形成。同時美國經濟維持較強勢頭也無法改變全球經濟放緩格局，美聯儲年內降息概率不降反升，導致美元轉跌，黃金反彈。
美國第一季國內生產總值(GDP)年化季率初值錄得3.20%，高出前值整整一個百分點，預期值為2.30%。這顯示美國經濟仍強過其他主要經濟體。由於出口增加、企業積極補充庫存以及政府對公共建築專案的投資，抵消了消費者和企業支出的減緩。
美國經濟增速自2018年第二季的高峰4.2%放緩——當時白宮的1.5萬億美元減稅計畫推動消費者支出。美國經濟在歲末年初之際一度磕磕碰碰，大量疲弱數據引發對經濟衰退的擔憂，而美國公債收益率曲線短暫導管，也加劇了這種憂慮。
但這主要歸咎於持續35天的聯邦政府部分停擺——打擊市場信心，並推遲退稅進程。自1月25日政府停擺結束以來，經濟數據已溫和好轉。經濟學家估計，如果此輪增長持續到今年7月，將創下史上擴張持續時間最長的紀錄。
淨出口為GDP增長貢獻了1.03個百分點，創下三個季度以來的最高水準，原因是進口在前一季度囤積之後出現下降。分析師預計，這些收益將在稍後收窄，並對GDP增速構成壓力
但美中貿易摩擦導致供應鏈遭到破壞，也壓抑了企業新增投資和庫存消耗。美聯儲最近暫停持續三年的貨幣政策緊縮週期，放棄今年可能進行任何升息的預估。
調查顯示，大多數受訪分析師認為，鑒於發達經濟體和新興經濟體增長前景普遍黯淡，加上通脹上升乏力，主要央行的政策收緊週期已經結束。
因此儘管美國一季度GDP數據大幅超出預期，但美聯儲基金期貨顯示，美聯儲9個月內降息概率升至70%。
分析師表示：“最近全球經濟增長疲弱勢頭將比通常設想的情況持續得更長久。各國央行立場轉為鴿派，仍將不足以提振全球GDP脫離當前的緩慢增長步伐。經濟表現令人失望，將使通脹保持在極低水準，導致貨幣政策幾乎普遍寬鬆，但我們並不認為這會在2021年之前帶動經濟明顯復蘇。”
