金價大跌，只因無協議脫歐

3月14日，現貨黃金出現大幅度下跌，因美元指數從低位拉升，同時英國議會否決無協議脫歐，英鎊漲勢有所消退，讓美元得以喘息。而歐盟方面重申，不會字啊有關於脫歐協議的談判，如果英國推遲脫歐的話，就需要歐盟其他成員國的同意。
首相特雷莎·梅稱，議員們需要在延長脫歐期限前就未來的路徑達成共識。她也曾堅稱，不可能完全排除無協議脫歐。因此無協議脫歐遭否的結果激怒了保守黨內許多脫歐派人士，他們希望保留“無協議”脫歐選項做為一種談判籌碼。
分析師對押注英鎊持續走強發出警告。他們認為，關於英國將以何種形式脫歐仍有很大不確定性，而距離既定的3月29日脫歐大限只剩不到三周時間。英、歐關係將走向何方，仍有待英國議會清楚說明。
在英國議會週三投票後，歐盟方面立即重申其立場，不會再有關於脫歐協議的談判，並稱英國議會否決無協議脫歐並不夠，還必須找到一項能讓成員國議員們接受的協議。
馬克龍在訪問肯雅時表示：“脫歐協議是沒有磋商餘地的，如果英國要求延期，可能進行一次技術性延期，以便有更多時間為脫歐作準備。但如果要求進一步延期，他們需要解釋原因，不能允許就一些我們已經磋商了好幾個月、且表示不能進一步談判的事宜進行更多磋商。”
歐盟負責英國脫歐事務談判的首席代表巴尼爾表示，歐盟將需要知道英國為何希望延長談判，而且該由倫敦方面找到打破僵局的方式。
英國民眾在2016年脫歐公投中以52%對48%的投票結果支持脫歐，這導致主要政黨分裂並暴露出英國社會的深刻裂痕。
如果無協議脫歐，英國將直接離開歐盟單一市場和關稅同盟，這可能意味著眾多進、出口商品都要繳納關稅。屆時英歐之間將沒有過渡期來緩解貿易和監管規定受到的衝擊，地區乃至全球金融市場將面臨劇烈動盪，金價料衝擊1400美元關口。
