黃金上行趨勢受到美元壓制
1月15日，現貨黃金價格承壓，原因是市場預計中國將制定更多經濟刺激政策，扶持風險資產的人氣。而美元自上周來就出現了反彈走勢，也對金價形成了一定的牽制。部分數據顯示德國經濟衰退，歐元暴跌。
投資者對美國和全球經濟減緩的擔憂，加上通脹溫和，預計將抑制美聯儲決策者加息。儘管美聯儲主席鮑威爾上周表示，鑒於通脹仍穩定，美聯儲有能力對貨幣政策保持耐心，但利率期貨市場現在預計2019年美聯儲不會加息。
中國公佈的貿易數據弱於預期，12月份進口同比下降7.6%，而分析師此前預計增長4.5%；出口下降4.4%，也遠不及預期的增長2%。多數分析師認為，這表明中國經濟在2019年下行壓力將進一步加大。
過去四周美元指數下滑，因美國陷入政治僵局，加上全球、尤其是中國經濟放緩預期，可能迫使美聯儲將暫緩加息，這些因素都嚴重拖累了美元。
鑒於經濟下行壓力進一步增大以及美中貿易摩擦帶來的負面影響，分析師預期中美兩國領導人未來幾周將達成一項廣泛的貿易協議。
美國總統特朗普週一預計，美國將與中國達成協議，結束一場針鋒相對的貿易摩擦。他在白宮對記者說：“我們與中國的談判進展非常順利，我認為我們將能夠與中國達成協議。”
美元反彈還受到歐元大跌的提振。歐元兌美元週二刷新近六個交易日低點至1.1410，日內最大跌幅達到0.51%。因德國經濟增長數據顯示，這個歐洲大陸最大經濟體或已陷入衰退。

全球需求轉弱，以及美國總統特朗普的政策所引發的貿易爭端，令德國出口商疲於應付，並突顯出對歐元區經濟放緩的擔憂，歐洲央行試圖逐步撤走刺激的態度料將變得愈加謹慎。
德國外貿協會(BGA)主席賓曼(Holger Bingmann)表示，英國脫歐是“德國經濟面臨的最緊迫的問題”，而美國引發的國際貿易爭端升級可能破壞經濟增長。
德國工商聯會總裁Eric Schweitzer稱，德國企業仍擔心美國提高對歐洲汽車的進口關稅。雙方要更努力地通過談判尋找貿易爭端解決方案，在理想情況下推動關稅下降，這一點至關重要。
上周德國工業生產數據意外下降，已經削弱了歐元。而由於衰退傳言不斷，德國GDP數據較以往吸引到更多的關注，進而加劇了歐元近期的賣壓。
