週四(4月12日)，現貨黃金價格小跌，前一日曾觸及11周高位，今日下跌是受累於技術性賣盤和獲利了結。不過對於美國對敘利亞動武的擔憂，以及中美貿易摩擦的疑慮還是支持金價。
金價此前經歷了四日連升，週三(4月11日)曾觸及1365.22美元的1月25日以來最高位，但隨後削減升幅，因市場預期美聯儲將加快加息步伐。
市場分析人士指出，黃金目前正從投資者的擔憂中得到支持，他們擔心美國及其盟友可能很快會對敘利亞發動軍事打擊。
分析師稱：“週三金價接近技術阻力位，因此我們看到從那裏開始的一波跌勢。過去幾個月金價都在試圖突破1370美元水位，因此當金價在強阻力區域整固時，有一些獲利了結。”他並指出，只要地緣政治緊張情勢持續，就有上漲空間。
分析師稱：“雖然我們預測波動性將持續偏高，只要美國仍有可能動用武力，黃金將持續獲得支撐，黃金將繼續有買氣。”
儘管敘利亞本身並非主要的產油國，但整個中東是全球最重要的原油出口地，中東地區局勢惡化很容易刺激市場避險情緒。此外，中國與美國之間貿易摩擦疑慮，亦支撐金價。
