纸黄金价格波动不大
除了成本外，纸黄金可以长期持有的原因还在于其价格波动不大。从纸黄金的盘面上可以看到，纸黄金每日的波动大多都是2-5元，只有长时间的持有，才能看到较为明显的波动。
纸黄金不含有杠杆
纸黄金不是保证金产品，其需要全额投入，没有交易杠杆，这对很多资金量不大的投资者来说是比较难盈利的，因为交易量不大，且纸黄金价格波动又不大，在短时间很难看到盈利。举个例子，某投资者每月最多只能买入10克纸黄金，而纸黄金月波动单边行情的话一般也只有15-25元的波动，那么其月盈利最多也只有250元，而纸黄金的点差费用就需要70（0.7元/克）了，这么一来，短期持有是不划算的。
综上所述，纸黄金不但可以长期持有，而且对于资金量小的投资者来说，长期持有才更加容易得到盈利。
