1、RSI值在60以上，表明市场在多头控制之下，称为强势市场；小于40，表明市场空头势盛，称为弱势市场；在40-60之间，表明大势盘整，称牛皮市场。
2、一般来说，RSI超过70，表明买势已够盛，市价涨得已够高，应卖出;RSI低于30，表明卖势也够盛，市价跌得已够深，应买进。RSI大于80为超买，若在80附近出现M头，应断然卖出;RSI小于20为超卖，若在20附近出现W底，应断然补进。
3、在大势盘整之时，(即RSI在40-60之间)，如果RSI一底比一底高，表明多头势强，可持股观望；反之，如果一底比一底低，则应卖出。如果银价尚在整理阶段，RSI已先完成整理走出40-60区间，说明银价即将突破整理形态，向RSI的方向突破。银价创下新高点，RSI也创下新高点，表明后市仍强。
4、如果银价创下新高点，RSI未创新高点，表明银价即将反转。同样，如果市价创下新低点，RSI也创下新低点，说明银市仍弱，如果银价创下新低点，RSI未创新低点，说明银价即将反转。
