第二类，地方政府批文，由私营企业主发起组件的私人平台。比如海西商品交易所；昆明贵重金属交易所；海南大宗商品交易中心；南方稀贵金属交易所等。地方市级等政府批文的小平台就比较多了，如浙江之川、浙江顺川、广东汇金等等。当然还有更小规模的平台也在大张旗鼓的进行现货交易。
此外在香港，所有正规的平台进行贵金属交易都受到香港金银业贸易场的监管。香港金银业贸易场历史悠久，一般具有其颁发的会员资格的平台都比较有保证。
