一、COMEX黄金持仓的由来
我们常说的COMEX黄金持仓一般是指COMEX黄金期货的持仓报告，它是由美国商品期货交易委员会（CFTC）负责发布的。
二、COMEX黄金持仓是什么意思
COMEX黄金持仓，即COMEX黄金期货的未平仓合约，我们都知道在期货市场中，未平仓合约就是指市场结束一天交易时，没有被结束的单边买或卖的合约数量。
而一张期货合约被结束，原因可能是合约到期、商品完成交割或者反向投资操作。其中，反向操作投资是指，保留前张合约的同时，重新购买一张数量相同但方向相反的新合约，这种操作也被称为对冲、冲销。
因此，COMEX黄金持仓=未平仓合约=原有仓位+新仓-冲销
三、COMEX黄金持仓的类型
CFTC的黄金持仓报告分为商业持仓和非商业持仓两种。
1、商业持仓
商业持仓一般是指与现货商、金矿有关的，有套期保值倾向的持仓，这些持仓的数量一般相对稳定。
2、非商业持仓
非商业持仓一般默认为基金持仓，它是COMEX持仓报告中最核心的内容。由于基金对黄金市场趋势的把握度较强，而且每次操作的合约数量较大，因此每次基金的买卖操作，都会明显的影响到市场的波动幅度。
另外，基金持仓分为多头、空头和套利三种情况。其中多单和空单是指净持仓数量，如出现1万手多单，8000手空单，那么表中就会显示多头2000手（净多头），套利8000手。若出现较大的净持仓量数量是，一般对黄金的价格有较大的影响。如前段时间连续出现的净空头状况，就是促使金价进一步下挫的因素之一。
综上，我们可以得到计算总持仓数量的方法：
总持仓多头=商业多头+非商业多头+非商业套利
总持仓空头=商业空头+非商业空头+非商业套利
