1、首先投资者要先明白贵金属价格目前的长期走势，在操作上要顺势操作，不能逆势而为。逆势不是不可为而是风险太大，顺势操作风险要小，做十次顺势操作你可能做对七次，逆市的话你可能三次做对的机会都不到。趋势无非是上涨、下跌、盘整。
假如现在贵金属长线趋势是上涨，所以贵金属交易操作的时候要多以多单为主，如果投资者个人感觉技术高超可以冒险趁贵金属价格下跌回调空单杀入博一下，但是感觉技术一般的还是建议顺势操作以多单为主。
顺势操作也有做错的时候，这个时候你要有止损的概念不要想着价格再会涨回来，贵金属价格波动很大，当价格涨回来的时候，你可能已经爆仓了，所以要严格止损，不要抱侥幸心理，你要知道一旦你做对了方向你还可以赚回来的。这就规避第一条和第三条，要有止损概念，并且严格止损。
2、从心理学来讲，每个人心中的那种心态是很难克服的，最大的敌人还是自己。给大家讲个故事。华尔街一家有名的投资公司曾经做过一个测试，从社会各行各业找了10个人，每个人给他们10万美金去做交易，谁能赢利了就聘用谁在那家有名的投资公司工作薪水丰厚。
这10个人中有学生、股票经纪人、硕士、博士各行各业高级人才，还包括军人，这些人经过培训之后去交易，结果出来之后发现盈利最多的是军人，其他的诸如股票经纪人、硕博士都出局了，因为军人能够严格遵守自己的投资计划，纪律性是胜出的重要原因。
这个测试告诉大家一定严格按照自己的投资计划去做，做错了就要严格止损。等你看到你做错方向的时候，你的钱被慢慢吞噬，恐怕那个时候你已经失去理智谈何去按照计划去做，所以说投资到头来，战胜自己才是关键。
