伦敦金所在市场基本遍及全世界能够实现线上黄金交易的现货合约中心，只要该地区的黄金市场拥有接驳全球黄金电子交易的场外虚拟机制，作为全球重要交易中心的枢纽就能面向投资者提供伦敦金业务，现在全球主要分为亚洲地区的中国香港和新加坡、澳洲悉尼、欧洲地区的柏林、巴黎、伦敦等地。纽约金所在市场为美国纽交所（COMEX）创建的线上交易和场内交割系统，仅限美国当地黄金市场。
品种不同
伦敦金为现货合约的交易模式，开户之后关于价位的具体选择、下单方向以及平仓时间均由投资者自主决定，无固定交割流程或平仓期限。纽约金为期货合约交易模式，开户后以合约上的约定价位和方向入市，有固定的平仓期限，在此之前必须把已入市的仓位全部结清。
报价机制不同
伦敦金通常采取做市商双向报价，投资者选择其中一个报价作为入市方向，需计入一定的点差成本。纽约金为撮合报价机制，按合约规定的价位进场后，不一定能立刻让单子成交。
