FOMC决议声明显示：美国至7月29日美联储利率一如预期的并没有改变，维持在0.25%。美联储预计通胀将在中期升至2%。经济活动温和扩张，就业增长强劲且失业率下滑。将在就业市场出现进一步改善时加息。重申经济和就业前景方面的风险接近平衡。就业市场取得进展但是通胀没有取得进展，因此难以在9月份加息。全美不动产协会(NAR)周三公布，美国6月成屋待完成销售指数较上月下跌1.8%，至110.3，预估为上升1.0%。美国6月二手房签约数量在连增五个月后意外减少，暗示成屋销售在最近的大幅增长后有所降温。
