黄金重量的计量单位主要有盎司、克、千克（公斤）、吨等，在国际贵金属交易市场中，黄金重量计量单位为金衡盎司或盎司，中国地区市场一般以克为单位，1金衡盎司=31.103481克。
2、按黄金的纯度计量标价
黄金的纯度又称为成色，现时市场上关于黄金纯度的标识，一种是百分比，如G999，即含金量为99.9%的黄金，另一种为K金，如G24K、G22K和G18K等等。无论是国内外实物金供应商，其黄金制品均含有生产企业代号、材料名称、含量印记等，无印记的为不合格产品。
K金如何表示黄金纯度？
1K含金量为4.166%，因此不同K级别的含金量分别为
12K=12*4.166%=49.992%(500‰)
18K=18*4.166%=74.998%(750‰)
24K=24*4.166%=99.984%(999‰)
由上述公式可得，24K所含的黄金纯度最高，为99.8%。
3、以文字表达黄金纯度
一些金饰上我们看到打有文字标记，通常是将黄金重量分成1000份的表示方法，如金件上标注9999，实际含金量为99.99%，标注886，实际含金量为88.6%。
