大田金業讲故事：阿凡提种黄金
一天，阿凡提在郊外开垦荒地，狩猎归来的国王问他：
“阿凡提，你在这儿干什么？”
“陛下，我在种金子！”阿凡提回答道。
“金子也能种吗？”国王问。
“当然能种，不然你金库里的金子从哪儿来？”阿凡提说。
国王虽然不太相信，但是为了证实阿凡提说的真与假，便掏出两枚金币对阿凡提说：
“请把这个也一起种上，待收获时我们平分。”
“是，陛下，”阿凡提接过两枚金币说：“今天是星期四，经我精心护理一个礼拜后，到了下一个至高无尚的主麻日，我肯定把收获的金子送到您的王宫。” 国王似乎相信了阿凡提的话，便打道回府。等到了主麻日，阿凡提果真来到王宫，对国王说：
“尊敬的国王陛下，我们的金子喜获丰收，两枚金币长出了二十枚金币，我留下十枚，给您送来了十枚。”阿凡提说着，把十枚金币恭恭敬敬地送到国王手里。
国王高兴地接过十枚金币，然后又取出四十枚金币加在一起交给阿凡提说：
“阿凡提，把这五十枚金币也拿去，把它也种上，待下一个主麻日我们再平分秋色。”
过了一个礼拜，阿凡提却空着手来到王宫对国王说：
“尊敬的国王陛下，这一次我们的运气太糟了，整整一个礼拜滴雨未下，您的五十枚金币加上我的二十枚金币，共七十枚金币的金种，全部活活旱死了。”
“一派胡言，金子还能旱死吗？”国王大怒道。
“陛下，您的理智是否正常？您既然相信金子能种，为什么不相信金子能旱死呢？” 阿凡提说完，扬长而去。
