大田金業讲故事：财神送金子
从前，有个人老实憨厚，一辈子没做过坏事，可这世道是坏人当道好人难做，所以这人家里穷得叮当响，孩子在家都饿了一天没有一点东西吃，妻子也是饿得有气无力。
这人外出找野菜，在一块大树下睡着了。他做了一个梦，梦见一个衣着华丽的神仙说：“你实在是个老实人，我财神老赵看不惯老实人受苦，特送你一箱金子，助你度过难关。”
这人醒来后觉得这个梦奇怪，可也没有仔细想，提着几棵野菜往家走。他家门前有棵枣树，他看到枣树下有一个箱子，里面有东西闪闪发光，他仔细一看，里面都是黄金。他心里蹦蹦跳，想拿又不敢拿，最后想：刚才做了个梦，神仙说要送我一箱金子，可这个箱子像是别人掉的，我不能拿。
回到家里，就把这事跟妻子说了，妻子以为他是饿晕了头，也不在意，说：“不拿就不拿，等老天爷送来你再拿。”
俗话说隔墙有耳，他们夫妻这话被隔壁的一个邻居听见了。邻居喜出望外，跑到屋外一看，枣树下果然有个箱子，打开一看傻了眼，里面装的不是什么黄金，而是牛粪，臭烘烘的。邻居大怒，心想：都说你老实，原来你知道我在偷听，故意说这话来耍我。
于是这个邻居架起梯子，抱着一箱牛粪爬到屋顶，揭开瓦片，把一箱牛粪倒了下去。
正在卧房的两口子听见堂屋里噼里啪啦直响，跑出来一看，屋顶上一个大洞，从上面掉了一堆金子下来呢。这人叫了起来：“老天爷掉金子了，这回可以拿!”
邻居在屋顶看到这一幕，也是又惊又怕，没坐稳，从屋顶上摔了下来。
