道指成份股美国电话电报公司大跌3.8%，报34.92美元，此前该公司公布的盈利优于预期，但服务营收成长疲弱。Verizon Communications跌1%，报47.43美元，标普电信股指数.SPLRCL下挫2.2%，为今日表现最差的板块。
生物科技股拖累Nasdaq指数下滑。Amgen Inc昨日公布的业绩不及预期，股价重挫5%，报113.32美元，Nasdaq生物科技指数跌1.5%，NYSEArca生物科技指数跌1.6%。
道琼工业指数收低12.72点，或0.08%，至16,501.65点；标准普尔500指数收低4.16点，或0.22%，至1,875.39点；Nasdaq指数收跌34.491点，或0.83%，至4,126.967点。
