美国财政部周二向中国表示，正密切关注人民币汇率，对人民币近期下滑表示关切，并称人民币仍被“大幅低估”。美国财政部在提交给国会的半年度汇率报告中没有将中国列为汇率操控国，但在美国主要贸易伙伴国中，重点谈及中国的汇率操作。财政部表示2013年人民币没有因应需求升值，今年中国又恢复了大规模干预，人民币转跌。“如果人民币下滑预示对升值的抵触，以及中国让市场力量扮演更重要角色和减少干预政策决心的动摇，那么问题将是特别严重的。”
