美国3月生产者物价指数(PPI)录得九个月来最大月度涨幅，因食品和贸易服务成本急升，表明生产领域的价格有所攀升。周五公布的另一项数据显示，4月消费者信心触及九个月高位，巩固了寒冷天气拖累年初经济活动后，经济重拾动能的观点。
美国劳工部表示，经季节性调整后，3月最终需求生产者物价指数增长0.5%，为去年6月以来最大月度升幅，预估为增长0.1%，2月为下滑0.1%。
一份调查显示，美国4月消费者信心指数初值升至九个月高点，现况指数和预期指数双双上升。汤森路透/密西根大学美国4月消费者信心指数初值升至82.6，高于3月终值80.0，为去年7月以来最高，预估为81.0。4月消费者现况指数初值为97.1，预估为96.3，3月终值为95.7。4月消费者预期指数初值为73.3，预估为71.4，3月终值为70.0。
