日本经济产业省28日公布经济数据指出，2014年2月份日本零售业销售额(速报值)较去年同月成长3.6%至10兆9,130亿日圆，连续第7个月呈现增长、且优于Thomson Reuters事前所作调查年增3.2%的预估值；经季节因素调整后的零售额为月增0.3%。就业种别零售额来看，当月所有业种销售额皆呈现增长，其中，汽车零售业销售额较去年同月大增14.9%，连续第6个月呈现增长、且增幅高居所有业种之冠。经产省表示，2月份日本大型零售商(百货公司+超市)销售额较去年同月成长2.4%至1兆4,686亿日圆，连续第7个月呈现增长；其中，百货公司成长2.5%至4,785亿日圆、超市成长2.3%至9,901亿日圆。
就同店(营业满1年以上店面)销售额来看，2月份日本大型零售商销售额成长1.3%，其中百货公司成长2.9%、超市成长0.5%。2月份日本便利超商销售额较去年同月成长6.2%至7,468亿日圆；就同店销售额来看为成长0.9%。另外，2月份日本批发业销售额较去年同月成长2.4%至26兆8,450亿日圆，连续第10个月呈现增长；经季节因素调整后为月减1.7%。2月份日本整体商业销售额(批发+零售)较去年同月成长2.8%至37兆7,580亿日圆，连续第10个月呈现增长；经季节因素调整后为月减1.3%。
