美国商务部3日公布1月营建支出意外优于预期，受惠私部门的支出增加，当期整体营建支出年率月增0.1%、年增9.3%至9,431亿美元。据路透社调查，经济学家原预估营建支出将衰退0.5%。
私部门当月营建支出月增0.5%至6,708亿美元，其中住宅类建案月增1.1%，非住宅类建案月减0.2%。
公部门营建支出较前月萎缩0.8%至2,723亿美元，其中教育类建设月减1.8%，公路建设月增3.7%。
