美银美林：美国经济将在2014年走出泥潭

美银美林(Bank of America Merrill Lynch)经济研究团队最新的报告认为美国经济将在2014年走出泥潭。
“正如我们一年多来一直所主张的，2014年是美国经济最终走出困境时期，并启动健康的经济增速(3%的同比增长)。在我们看来，如果美国政局没有上演预算之争，同时财政紧缩局面没有如此剧烈，那么美国经济早已走出病弱态势。经济两大领域表现良好——房地产市场和银行部门已在2012年出现了显著改善，房价形成声势，银行贷款结构也在完善。若没有政治层面的冲击，我们预计今年美国经济增长将达3-3.5%。”
我们相信，未来不单是经济结构性阻力的弱化，预计未来政府也不会像今年这样惹人注意。自动减支动作可能只对明年GDP造成0.2个百分点的损失，而财政撙节举措的负面冲击也已为经济所吸收。与此同时，随着选举的临近，我们预计政客们会评估行为风险，并竭力避免政府关门的情况再次发生。
虽然一些行业周期性反弹已经产生，但需要认识到，美国经济仍处在商业周期的早期阶段。商业周期并不因为时间跨度过长而消化，而是会死于过度膨胀和通胀……在我们看来，汽车行业复苏启动很早，但在其他耐用品消费方面还有很长的路要走，房产市场和商业投资同样如此。更重要的是……通货膨胀似乎还是个很遥远的问题。
美银美林本周稍早发布了2014年全球经济展望，其主题为“增长更好，通胀无忧，政策仍适宜”。
该行在报告中称，目前美国资产负债表的修复进展顺利：财政预算赤字/GDP已经从10%下降到4%，银行业正在资本重组并且其不良贷款逐步下降，房地产市场已经开始复苏，企业的利润和现金比较充裕，家庭部门将结束去杠杆化。预计美国GDP增速从过去4年的平均2.2%回升至2014年的2.6%，2015年为3.2%。
政策方面，该行预计美联储将逐步地退出量化宽松政策，同时承诺在较长时间内维持低利率。最近耶伦指出，美联储关注的是，量化宽松的边际效益正在下降，而其边际成本在上升。美银美林认为，这意味着美国将加强利率“前瞻性指导”。
