美国10月消费者信心降至6个月低点

美经济咨商理事会(The Conference Board)公布10月份消费者信心降至6个月低点，指数自前月的80.2点遽减至71.2点(1985基期=100)。据彭博社调查，79位经济学家原预估信心指数将下滑至75，预估区间介于70点至82点。消费者现况指数同步自前月的73.5下滑至70.7；期望指数由84.7摔落至71.5。
消费者信心调查是由经济咨商理事会委托市场研究机构Nielsen随机抽样调查，调查截止日为10月17日。经济咨商理事会主管Lynn Franco表示，10月政府关门，以及举债上限协商所引发的社会不安是造成消费者信心低落的主因，类似情形在2012年底财政悬崖时也发生过，未来几个月消费者信心都将处于不稳定状态。
在消费者评断经济状况方面，受访者看好当前景气比例由前月的20.7%下滑至19%，看坏者由23.9%下滑至23%。在未来6个月景气预期方面，看好景气好转比例由前月的20.6%下滑至16%，而预期景气会恶化者自10.3%上升至17.5%；受访者认为「工作机会很多」比例自16.1%下滑至15.3%，认为「工作难找」比例自19.1%上升至22.7%；预期收入会增加者比例自15.1%上升至15.8%。
