首次申领失业金人数较前周修正值减少

美国劳工部10月17日公布，经季节调整后，截至10月12日为止当周，首次申请失业救济金人数较前周修正值减少15,000人至358,000人。根据彭博社的调查，经济学家的预估中间值为33.5万人，预估区间介于30.1-38万人之间。上周首次申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前周修正值增加11,750人至336,500人。
截至10月5日为止当周，经季节调整后，连续申请失业救济金人数较前一周的修正值减少43,000人至2,859,000人。当周连续申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前一周的修正值增加17,750人至2,875,750人。截至10月5日为止当周，经过季节性因素调整后的保险失业率较前周修正值持平为2.2%。
瑞银报告指出，截至目前，美国政府关门对经济的直接影响可能很小，虽然协议也只是把预算争议推后到明年1月，政治不确定性依然很高。现在联储局被迫不仅以经济数据为决策依据，而且需要以国会马首是瞻。瑞银预期2014年3月前量化宽松政策将维持目前的规模和速度。债信机构标准普尔则是估算，美国政府本次部份停摆已让第4季GDP成长率缩减至少0.6个百分点、相当于240亿美元。
