路透社报导，根据国际货币基金组织(IMF)最新公布的官方外汇储备币种结构季报(COFER)，2013年第2季澳元、加币持有余额分别自2013年第1季底的985亿美元、949亿美元上升至1,010亿美元、1,088亿美元。欧元持有金额自1.431兆美元升至1.446兆美元、占比自23.7%升至23.8%、仍低于2009年(接近28%)水平。
IMF指出，美元占比自62.2%降至61.9%(3.76兆美元)；日圆占比自3.9%降至3.8%。数据显示，整体已知外汇存底配置余额自2013年第1季底的6.08兆美元降至6.07兆美元(占全球总外汇存底余额的54.5%)。
英国金融时报2日报导，全球总外汇存底余额自2013年第1季底的11.09兆美元微增至11.1兆美元，主要是受到亚洲经济体贸易盈余缩水的影响。其中，包括墨西哥披索、南非币、巴西里拉在内等币别的「其他货币」自2,012亿美元降至1,729亿美元，主要是受到先进经济体抛售新兴市场储备资产的影响。巴西里拉、印度卢比、南非币、俄罗斯卢布相对于美元在第2季分别贬值9.4%、8.6%、6.5%、5.4%。
华尔街日报部落格报导，外资6月份合计卖超美国公债407.69亿美元、金额创历史新高。美联社报导，外资持有美国公债金额在今年3月创下历史新高纪录(5.7兆美元)，但随后的3个月分别月减0.3%、0.9%、1.0%，6月底余额为5.6兆美元(年增5.4%)。
嘉实XQ全球赢家系统的报价显示，澳元兑美元9月升值4.76%、6个月以来首度走升，升值幅度创2012年6月(5.20%)以来新高。
