美地方联储官员反对推迟缩减QE

路透华盛顿9月26日 – 美国堪萨斯城联邦储备银行总裁乔治周四表示，美国联邦储备委员会(美联储/FED)上周会议不缩减购债规模，将来可能削弱其政策的效力。
乔治表示，她一直对这个由大多数人做出的决定感到失望。在美联储9月17-18会议中，只有她持反对意见。乔治在货币政策方面属于强硬派，而且喜欢直言不讳。
“推迟采取行动，不但会导致潜在成本上升，还有可能不利于未来货币政策行动的可信度和可预测度。”她在科罗拉多经济论坛的晚宴上说。
“出人意料的政策行动经常导致市场出现更多的波动。”
乔治在美联储今年的每次政策会议上都反对购债计划，她警告指出，该计划会导致未来出现资产泡沫和通胀。
上周美联储决定维持购债计划不变，令金融市场大感意外。
这与整个夏季美联储官员发出的明确信号相矛盾，当时他们暗示准备好开始缩减资产购买规模。
乔治警告称，推迟行动可能导致金融市场怀疑美国经济不够强劲。
“市场可能误以为，这次推迟行动表明委员会的评估结果是，整体经济前景明显较弱，但实际显然不是这样。”
她认为，在面对华盛顿削减预算的情况下，美国经济成长与就业所显示出的耐久性令人鼓舞。
此外，让投资者出乎意料，美联储可能损害市场对其前瞻性指引的信心。美联储承诺将维持近零利率直到失业率降到6.5%，前提是通胀展望保持在2.5%以下。
