过去5年人民币已取代美元成为东亚参考货币

英国金融时报报导,根据国际货币基金组织(IMF)公布的统计数据,2000-2012年期间美元占全球外汇存底比重自70.5%降至63.1%,同一时间美元占全球贸易交易比重也自15.8%降至10.9%。此外,彼得森国际经济研究所(Peterson Institute for International Economics)高级研究员Arvind Subramanian也指出,过去5年人民币已取代美元成为东亚地区的主要参考货币,亚洲七大货币与人民币的连动性较美元高出60%。
Phys.org 19日报导,Subramanian指出,中国即将取代美国成为世界经济强权,其全球影响力甚至超越大英帝国鼎盛时期。根据麦肯锡(McKinsey Global Institute)日前发布的报告,中国的工业化速度较英国快上10倍、规模则是英国的100倍。
曾担任IMF研究员的Subramanian在2011年9月接受华尔街日报(WSJ)专访时指出,政治体系瘫痪、经济成长趋缓、财政体质疲弱、中产阶级前景黯淡这些负面因素可能导致美国丧失全球经济霸主地位。Subramanian说中国大陆也将在未来20年内面临危机,但它将有能力走出困境重新缴出不错的经济成长成绩。
根据Pew Research Center在7月发布的调查数据(注:2013年3月2日至5月1日调查39国、37,653名受访者),全球民众认为中国、美国的经济实力差距已显著缩小。在20个2008年、2013年皆受访的国家当中,认为美国是世界主要经济强权的受访中间值自47%降至41%、点名中国的受访中间值则是由20%跳升至34%。
华尔街日报9月5日报导,国际清算银行(Bank of International Settlements;简称BIS;俗称“央行的央行”最新报告显示,人民币已超越瑞典克朗、纽西兰币成为全球第九大热门交易货币、排名高于上次调查(2010年)时的第17名。BIS指出,过去3年人民币交易量暴增三倍、2013年日成交均量达1,200亿美元(注:美元今年的日成交均量为4.65兆美元)。
新华网报导,商品投资大师吉姆罗杰斯(Jim Rogers)9月7日在厦门所举行的第十一届资本论坛上表示,如果中国政府能够让人民币成为可自由兑换货币,人民币很有可能在未来20年内取代美元。
