美国股市午盘大多走低；市场交投淡静，波动区间较窄。道琼斯工业股票平均价格指数跌16点，至15067点，跌幅0.1%。
据道琼斯通讯社报道，道琼斯工业股票平均价格指数跌16点，至15067点，跌幅0.1%。标准普尔500指数跌1点，至1654点，跌幅0.1%。纳斯达克综合指数涨14点，至3617点，涨幅0.4%。
道指上周累计下跌2.2%，创2012年以来的最大单周跌幅。与此同时美国国债收益率飙升。上周美国国债收益率从2.580%升至2.827%，创下了6月份以来的最大单周涨幅，因为乐观的就业数据引发了市场对美国联邦储备委员会(Federal Reserve, 简称：美联储)将从9月份开始缩减刺激计划的猜测。
10年期美国国债收益率周一继续攀升，早盘小幅涨至2.872%。
股市交投量较低，因为周一几乎没有重要经济数据公布。美联储依然是本周市场关注的焦点，该行将在周三公布最新的政策会议纪要。投资者一直密切关注美联储传递出来的信息，试图藉此判断该行何时将开始削减大规模的货币宽松措施。
科技类股表现强于大盘，受行业巨头苹果公司(Apple)和英特尔(Intel)的涨势带动。近期维权投资者Carl Icahn披露持有大量苹果公司股票，令苹果股价受到了提振。标准普尔500指数的科技类股午盘涨0.5%。
截至午盘时段，金融类股在标准普尔500指数各分类指数中领跌，跌幅达到0.8%。摩根大通(J.P. Morgan Chase)跌幅最大，下跌了2.2%。此前《华尔街日报》报导称，该行可能取代美国银行(Bank of America)，成为美国诉讼问题最多的银行。
高派息类股下跌，而这类股票通常被视为债券市场的风向标。电信类股下跌0.7%，公共事业类股下跌0.4%。
其他个股方面，切萨皮克能源(Chesapeake Energy)涨0.3%。监管备案显示，维权投资者Carl Icahn对该公司的持股比例升至10%左右。
