周一(8月23日)美元继上周创下逾两个月最大单周涨幅后下跌，随着欧美股市上涨，市场风险偏好改善，挪威克朗和加元领涨G-10货币。现货黄金尾盘涨逾20美元，收于1805.46美元/盎司，美元回落推动投资者买入黄金，而不断上升的新冠病例推动市场预期美联储可能推迟缩减经济支持措施。布油一度涨近6%，刷新近三日高点至68.90美元/桶，美国食品与药品监督管理局(FDA)首次全面批准了一款新冠疫苗，使市场看到经济重新开放前景更加乐观。
美元流动性泛滥：逆回购刷新纪录高位至1.136万亿美元，美联储构筑的利率底部一击即溃
周一隔夜逆回购工具的使用量再创纪录，达到1.136万亿美元，超过了8月18日触及的前记录1.116万亿美元。随着大量美元继续淹没融资市场，市场对逆回购的需求激增。流动性暴增一定程度上是因为美联储继续购买资产，以及美国财政部从现金账户提取资金的行为令更多储备金被推入系统中。财政部为了给债务上限留出空间而削减美债发行量的举动进一步加剧了流动性泛滥。
德国央行表示德国经济今年反弹可能弱于预期
德国央行表示，德尔塔毒株和疫苗接种放缓可能导致更严格的防护措施。在上半年经济活动令人失望之后，2021年的经济增长率可能会略低于6月份预测的3.7％。消费价格的走势面临不确定性。通胀率今年有望加速升至5％，然后随着临时性因素开始消退，才会再度放缓。供应链成本上升转嫁到消费者身上的程度超过预期。该趋势是否会持续，取决于公司的利润率在多大程度上将受到“物价和工资更广泛上涨”的压力。总体来看，经济应该在今年夏天或秋天达到疫情前的规模。
