1月20日，现货黄金一路大涨，创新近段时间以来的新高点，因为美元指数回落，美债收益率走低而支撑了金价，同时市场预期拜登政府将增加经济刺激措施，以应对疫情带来的经济影响。
分析师表示，因为拜登首先要采取的行动将是逆转其前任的一些政策；金市今天表现非常好，收在当前水平或者接近1860美元的水平将为金价升向1900美元打开大门；对金市而言，与市场最相关的指标将是1.9万亿美元刺激议案在国会山，特别是在参议院的接受程度，以及该议案是会顺利通过还是会遭遇惊涛骇浪。
拜登周三宣誓就职，投资者关注他提出的1.9万亿美元刺激计划，以及新冠疫苗接种推进速度。美国当选总统拜登提名的美国财政部长耶伦周二敦促议员们在新冠救助支出上“采取大规模行动”，称救助计划的优先程度要高于加税。
虽然拜登政府可能没有明确寻求美元贬值，但美元有可能会进一步下跌。对十国集团外汇来说，今年开局艰难，因为偏好的交易表现并不好，但是，耶伦支持进行大力政策投放，给市场烙下了确准无疑的鸽派印记，鉴于货币和财政政策将同声一辞，料将鼓舞美元空头。
分析师表示，黄金的大部分涨幅预计将出现在上半年。维持对黄金的正面观点，预计价格将重新测试2000美元/盎司的门槛，并达到新高。鉴于美元可能走软，实际收益率仍为负，宽松的货币政策，进一步的财政刺激，以及不断上升的通胀预期，投资者将继续配置黄金。
