10月13日，现货黄金出现大面积跌落，you8yu美国经济刺激方案的协商陷入了僵局，市场对美元有所看好，而且投资者也关注国际货币基金组织对全球经济预估的上调，都提振了美元限制金价。
黄金在2020年的前八个月中上涨了30%，但随着美元上涨，9月金价涨势失去了动力.德国商业银行分析师Daniel Briesemann周二发布报告称：“黄金似乎很难摆脱1,900美元关口的牵制”。
美国在11月选举日之前达成刺激方案的希望在周二趋于黯淡，众议院议长佩洛西要求白宫修改最新提案，而参议院共和党领袖麦康奈尔计划推动对一个更小规模方案进行投票，这种策略正是民主党多次提出反对的。麦康奈尔计划下周只对补充小企业薪酬保护计划(PPP)资金这一项措施进行投票，这甚至引起了总统特朗普的反对 ，他在推文中说“要么达成大协议，要么回家！”
消息人士透露，佩洛西周二在电话上对众议院民主党人表示，麦康奈尔的方案不可能成功。据三位知情人士称，在特朗普的推文发布后，佩洛西告诉同僚他们现在的筹码比以往任何时候都大。麦康奈尔周二称，称民主党无视两党达成的协议，坚持要求在刺激案中纳入与抗疫无关的措施。
国际货币基金组织(IMF)表示，由于富裕国家和中国的复苏速度快于预期，全球经济预测的“糟糕程度有所减弱“。
金价要再创下新高，吸引出现非常意外的事件。比如，美联储不再关注通胀这种会改变美国整个基本面结构的变化等。这会使得全球投资者对美元丧失信心，但分析师指出，这种情况出现的可能很小。如果没有新一轮刺激项目出现的话，黄金会缓慢小幅走高。预计明年三季度末金价将涨至2100美元/盎司。
