10月2日，金价有所下跌，由于美元走强让黄金的上涨受到限制，目前黄金上涨动力较强，之前美国总统新冠病毒检验呈阳性，强烈打击了投资市场的风险情绪。
黄金市场交易商仍在评估特朗普夫妇罹患新冠肺炎并将接受隔离的消息。一些策略师称，该消息迫使投资者考虑民主党候选人拜登的领先地位，拜登在大多数民调中已经领先于特朗普。现货黄金欧市盘前一度触及1917.15美元/盎司，为9月22日以来最高水平。
市场对新一轮刺激的期望也提振了金价。美国众议院议长佩洛西周五表示，与白宫围绕新一轮刺激方案的谈判将继续进行，特朗普确诊感染新冠病毒，可能会彰显疫情的严重性，进而改变会谈态势。她表示对两党共同发起一份刺激法案的前景感到乐观。美国国家经济顾问库德洛称，共和党人接近达成规模为1.5万亿美元的刺激计划。
分析师称：“特朗普确诊的消息刚报道出来时，金价一度上涨，但随即转跌，因为该消息显然并未造成股市的恐慌性抛售，投资者没有急忙转向黄金等避险资产。”
瑞士信贷指出，金价在8月份达到2075-2080美元的基本预期目标后，扩大了回调幅度，随后跌至略高于支撑位1837美元的水平，这是2020年水平的23.6%回撤位。
我们预计，在最终升穿1993美元并看向2075美元之前，这一水平将继续保持并维持在横向震荡区间，在明年之前都不太可能出现新的高点。如果最终突破这一点位，将看到核心牛市趋势的恢复，阻力位将在2175美元，之后看向2300美元。
