9月2日，现货黄金黄金出现较大涨幅，由于之前公布的美国8月ADP数据不及市场预期，虽然数据内容创下有记录以来的第三大涨幅，但仍远远不及市场预期。小非农数据暗示美国非农不容乐观，黄金多头仍有加大机会。
ADP报告显示，8月建筑业就业人数增加2.8万人，7月为减少0.8万人；8月制造业就业人数增加0.9万人，7月为增加1万人；8月贸易/运输/公用事业就业人数增加5.8万人，7月为增加4.1万人；8月金融服务业就业人数增加1.1万人，7月为减少1.8万人；8月专业/商业服务就业人数增加6.6万人，7月为减少5.8万人。
由于下周一美国市场将因为美国当地劳动节假期休市，本周美国系列就业数据将会得到额外的关注程度。ADP数据表现悲观，表明美国8月非农将走软，道明银行预计美国8月季调后非农就业人口录得100万，失业率降至10%。
不过市场预期在美联储的新货币政策下，美国利率将在较长时间内维持在低位，这为金价提供了支撑。美联储理事布雷纳德周二表示，美联储将需要推出更多刺激措施，以实现其有关更强劲就业增长和更高通胀的新承诺。货币政策向宽松方向转变很重要，美联储应该在未来几个月采取宽松政策。
黄金投资者们需要密切关注货币市场，尤其欧元兑美元的走势，欧元美元逼近1.2关口，如果突破该水平，那么金价就能突破2000大关。美联储通胀目标的挑战会为金价带来长期的支撑，因为黄金被视为对冲风险的避险选择。美联储会长期维持极为宽松的货币政策，但金融市场可能会爆出新的泡沫，不过如果美元表现稳定，那么金价要进一步上涨将会很难。
