原油市場出現巨大跌幅，沙特覺得還不夠

4月20日，美國原油市場大幅度走低，尤其是05合約出現暴跌，由於需求下降是的原油價格大幅下跌，同時市場交易力量也紛紛結束當前交易單，同時還有大量沙特的低價原油正向美國港口出發。
這種混亂並不意味著美國原油儲備被填滿，美國正在填充儲備但還遠未填滿，部分地區毫無疑問會面臨壓力，需求將保持低迷。
主流經紀商通知旗下客戶，明晨美原油相關品種將按收市時的買賣價強行平倉；與到期合約相關的所有待處理的掛單和止損/限價單將被取消，並將實現當時的任何浮動盈虧。
此前全球主要產油國同意將原油產量減少10%，以支撐油價，這是其史上最大幅度的減產。但從油價的表現來看，這樣的減產仍然是不夠的。
美國石油之都的原油價格正危險地接近於零，在葉岩革命的發源地德州，買家競購原油的報價僅為每桶2美元，較一個月前大幅下跌；實物桶價值的暴跌增加了德州石油生產商可能很快就不得不付錢給客戶，讓他們從手中奪走原油的可能性。
在需求崩潰、供應膨脹和儲存能力有限的三重利空中，負價格已經觸及美國石油市場更為隱晦的角落；美國第一個出價低於零的原油是一條被稱為懷俄明州瀝青酸的內陸小原油流，上個月的價格為每桶負19美分；在德克薩斯州，價格正朝著這個方向發展。
WTI油價越來越低迷之際，一些美國的石油公司沮喪地發現，有大批來自沙特的低價原油正直撲美國的港口。
這些油是3月和4月初裝船的。3月上旬，沙特突然開打價格戰，迅速引發全世界產油國紛紛降低售價，從而令原油供應在需求因疫情崩跌之際顯得愈發過剩。
