分析师表示，尽管金融市场与实体经济“暂时失配”，但美国重启经济暗示实现复苏的时点可能要远早于预期，进而给金市造成了压力。
美国总统特朗普周四提出指引，美国各州州长可根据指引分三阶段逐步解除抗疫封闭措施并重启经济。此前有一份振奋人心的新冠病毒治疗药物报告出炉。
投资人也关注中国数据。中国经济一季度同比下降6.8%，降幅超过预期值0.8个百分点，逆转前期6%的增幅，因冠状病毒爆发导致生产和消费停摆。不过3月中国经济明显改善，尤其工业降幅急剧收窄，让市场看到一丝希望。
然而，全球各国央行相继推出的大规模刺激措施为抵御冠状病毒疫情造成的经济损失，限制了黄金的下调空间，因为黄金通常被视为抵御通胀和货币贬值的对冲工具。
美联储资产负债表本周增加至创纪录的6.42万亿美元。美联储早先表现，启动无限制购债进程，确保在哪怕经济出现自由落体式萎缩的情况下，维持金融市场正常运行。
