初請失業金人數暴增，黃金短線拉升

4月2日，美國公佈了3月28日當周初請失業金人數，資料暴增到664.8萬人，為歷史上的新高，為之前高位的十倍，在資料公佈後，現貨黃金出現短線拉升，而美國貿易帳赤字資料則符合市場預期。
具體資料顯示，美國截至3月28日當周初請失業金人數實際公佈664.80萬，預期值370萬，前值328.3萬。美國至3月28日當周初請失業金人數突破600萬關口，該資料續創紀錄新高。
因疫情的擴散，更多企業關閉，許多飯店和商店被迫關門，美國至3月28日當周初請失業金人數比上周創下的紀錄多了逾一倍，前值也略微上修至331萬人。
從受疫情影響最大的行業粗略地看，可能會有超1600萬人失業，這可能會使得美國失業率從約3.5%的水準升至12.5%的水準，這一水準為大蕭條以來最高。
歐美國家的疫情全球蔓延打擊了經濟預期，因為許多企業已經停擺，至少是暫時停擺，因為世界各國政府要求人們呆在家裡，以減少進一步的傳染。
美國勞工部即將在3日公佈3月份的“非農就業報告”，經濟學家預計，3月份美國失業率可能從2月份的3.5%上升至3.7%。FactSet預計，3月減少的工作崗位約15萬個。甚至一些經濟學家還預計4月可能有約1000萬-1500萬人失業，失業率將飆升至10%以上。
第二季美國實質國內生產總值(GDP)環比年率將下降34%，而此前的預測為下降24%。高盛預計，到今年年中，失業率將升至15%，而此前的預期為9%。失業資料顯示，產出和勞動力市場的崩潰幅度甚至比此前預期的還要大，這引發了對未來收入和支出造成更嚴重的第二輪影響的恐懼。
除了初請失業金資料，同時公佈的美國貿易帳資料顯示，美國2月貿易帳實際公佈-399億美元，預期-400億美元，前值-453億美元。其中，2月進口錄得2475億美元，前值2539.06億美元；出口錄得2075億美元，前值2085.69億美元。
