2月10日，現貨黃金價格在1570關口附近震盪，當前正處於黃金多空因素的較量，中國CPI資料提升了黃金的抗通脹需求，但強勢美元和美國經濟的樂觀表現也在限制金價上漲，目前市場需要新消息的指引。
分析認為，同比漲幅擴大既有春節及衛生安全事件影響的因素，也有今年與去年春節錯月、去年對比基數較低的因素。總體來看，CPI漲幅擴大不會制約貨幣政策，需要關注疫情對工業品價格造成的下行壓力。
資料顯示，全球ETF黃金持有量上一次達到如此高的水準是在2012年12月，當時美聯儲將利率維持在接近零水準，同時增加了QE資產購買計畫，以提振經濟成長並降低失業率，為黃金提供了良好的持有條件。
在全球經濟風險上升的背景下，美國經濟增長依然良好。這時候美元就作為一種避險貨幣受到市場追捧，雖然這種避險屬性和金價類似，但以美元計價的金價勢必會因為美元的升值，金價的升勢受到一定的限制。
行情資料顯示，今年伊始美元匯率穩步攀升，在上週五強勁的非農資料發佈後，美元指數已升至了去年10月初以來的最高水準。
美元走強將使得企業將海外銷售收入匯回美國的成本更高，也使得出口商的產品在海外競爭力下降。美元走強還會影響新興市場和大宗商品，美元升值會讓以美元計價的資產對海外投資者來說變得更加昂貴。此外，當美元走強時，發展中國家償還美元債務的成本也會變高。
在分析師對貿易緊張局勢感到擔憂的情況下，2019年大部分時間，美元以及與美國經濟增長掛鉤的投資相比其他資產表現更優。許多投資者在新一年剛開始時曾預計，隨著貿易協定的達成以及英國脫歐前景的明朗化，這一趨勢可能出現逆轉。但現在結果恰恰相反，交易員們現在質疑全球經濟能否重新加速。
