2月10日，现货黄金价格在1570关口附近震荡，当前正处于黄金多空因素的较量，中国CPI数据提升了黄金的抗通胀需求，但强势美元和美国经济的乐观表现也在限制金价上涨，目前市场需要新消息的指引。
分析认为，同比涨幅扩大既有春节及卫生安全事件影响的因素，也有今年与去年春节错月、去年对比基数较低的因素。总体来看，CPI涨幅扩大不会制约货币政策，需要关注疫情对工业品价格造成的下行压力。
数据显示，全球ETF黄金持有量上一次达到如此高的水平是在2012年12月，当时美联储将利率维持在接近零水平，同时增加了QE资产购买计划，以提振经济成长并降低失业率，为黄金提供了良好的持有条件。
在全球经济风险上升的背景下，美国经济增长依然良好。这时候美元就作为一种避险货币受到市场追捧，虽然这种避险属性和金价类似，但以美元计价的金价势必会因为美元的升值，金价的升势受到一定的限制。
行情数据显示，今年伊始美元汇率稳步攀升，在上周五强劲的非农数据发布后，美元指数已升至了去年10月初以来的最高水平。
美元走强将使得企业将海外销售收入汇回美国的成本更高，也使得出口商的产品在海外竞争力下降。美元走强还会影响新兴市场和大宗商品，美元升值会让以美元计价的资产对海外投资者来说变得更加昂贵。此外，当美元走强时，发展中国家偿还美元债务的成本也会变高。
在分析师对贸易紧张局势感到担忧的情况下，2019年大部分时间，美元以及与美国经济增长挂钩的投资相比其他资产表现更优。许多投资者在新一年刚开始时曾预计，随着贸易协议的达成以及英国脱欧前景的明朗化，这一趋势可能出现逆转。但现在结果恰恰相反，交易员们现在质疑全球经济能否重新加速。
